Six of the eight pins sit on Anna Maria Island itself, and four of those are within a mile and a half of Holmes Beach. Two are not: the sunset kayak meets in a car park across the Anna Maria drawbridge, and the paddleboard trip meets at a park in Bradenton on the far side of the Cortez drawbridge, about thirteen minutes out. None of these tours transports you to its meeting point, so the drive is part of the trip you are buying.
One tour is mislabelled by its own name. The guided manatee kayak is sold as a Bradenton trip and reads like a mainland launch, but its pin is at Coquina Beach on the island’s south end — ten minutes straight down Gulf Drive, no bridge. If you ruled it out because you thought it meant leaving the island, it is worth a second look: it is also the cheapest and the most-reviewed trip here.
Three pins sit almost on top of each other: the sunset and daytime cruises share a meeting point, and the sandbar excursion checks in a few metres away at Waterline Villas and Marina. Both road bridges onto the island lift for boat traffic. Between 6am and 7pm each one only has to open on the quarter hour and the three-quarter hour, so if you are crossing at :15 or :45 you may sit and wait. Drive times on this page assume clear roads and a bridge that is down.
